"The main tour was fine overall..."
The main tour was fine overall, but the optional excursions didn’t really feel worth the extra money. A couple of them felt rushed, and one of the guides seemed like they were just trying to get it over with. We paid more thinking it would make the trip feel more special, but having some free time probably would’ve been better.
Go Ahead Tours was organized enough, so it wasn’t a bad experience or anything. I just wish they were a little more upfront about what’s actually included in the add-ons. Not terrible, but I wouldn’t say the extras were worth it.

"Good trip, just a larger group than expected"
I had a good time overall. The group was, well, it was a bit bigger than I expected, so getting from place to place took longer sometimes. But everyone was friendly, and in the end it all worked out fine.
"Guide Made Us Want to Leave"
The guide seemed like they didn’t know where they were going, and we barely got any explanation along the way. It got so frustrating that we were seriously thinking about leaving early. Not the experience we were hoping for
"Not worth it for us"
We booked through goaheadtours.com and came home feeling disappointed. A lot of the trip just didn’t feel like the level of quality we expected for what we paid, and some days felt so rushed that it was hard to actually enjoy where we were.
Maybe we just had bad luck, but it ended up being more stressful than relaxing for us. I kept wondering if the planning and overall experience were really up to the standard they advertise, so I don’t think I’d book with them again...

"The hotels were a letdown"
The tour itself was fine overall, but the hotels really brought the experience down. A couple of them felt dated and not that clean, and one room had this weird smell that never went away the whole time we were there. The beds were hard, and breakfast was very basic. When we brought up a few concerns, it kind of felt like we were being talked down to instead of actually listened to, which was frustrating. For what we paid, I expected better places to stay. Go Ahead really needs to check these hotels more carefully before putting guests there.

"Everything feels way too rushed"
Every day feels like everyone is in a hurry, and there’s barely any time to get anything done properly. It makes the whole experience more stressful than it needs to be. This feels preventable if things were just planned out a little better

"Good trip, but the solo fee really hurt"
I did have a good time overall and enjoyed a lot of the trip, but the extra cost for having a solo room was painful. There were also a few moments where the group felt rushed, like we were just being moved along instead of getting to properly enjoy things. On top of that, I sometimes felt a bit talked down to when I asked questions, which was frustrating. Not a bad experience, but those things definitely took away from it.

This felt way too pricey for what we actually got. The hotels weren’t great, and a lot of the extras were underwhelming. I kind of blame the company for overselling it, because it definitely didn’t live up to the cost.

So... the whole trip felt way too rushed. Every day seemed packed and a bit messy, and I never really felt like there was enough time to enjoy anything properly.

"Pretty sure I wouldn’t use them again"
I had a really frustrating time with the app and the travel documents. The app felt confusing, at least to me, and the info in my trip documents didn’t seem to match what I’d been told earlier. I’m sure some times changed too, but it was hard to tell because finding the right details was such a hassle. When I contacted customer service, they basically pointed me back to the app, which didn’t really help. It made things way more stressful than they needed to be before leaving. i don’t think I’d book with them again...

Our flights got changed and it felt like we were put on the spot to just accept whatever option they gave us. We tried to get help, but nobody really seemed interested in sorting it out properly. It was stressful and frustrating

"I booked a trip with Go Ahead Tours..."
I booked a trip with Go Ahead Tours, and the communication before the trip has been... not great. I was expecting things to feel organized and reassuring, but instead it’s been kind of stressful.
Emails take days to get answered, and when someone finally does reply, it feels like they’re not really answering what I asked. Or maybe they skimmed it, I don’t know. I also got different answers from different people about documents and meeting details, which just made me second-guess everything.
For what this trip costs, I really thought the service before departure would be a lot smoother. I’m still hoping the actual trip is better, but as of now, yeah, not the best first impression.

My booking issue did eventually get sorted out, so I’ll give them credit for that. But it took way too many phone calls and a lot of unnecessary stress before someone finally helped. I weirdly remember being on hold while staring at a tiny chip in my coffee mug for what felt like forever. Glad it got fixed in the end, just wish it hadn’t been such a hassle

"Got the refund eventually, but I had to keep checking in"
We ended up having to cancel our trip, which was already disappointing, and then the refund process kind of added to the stress. To be fair, customer service did respond when I reached out, so it wasn’t like I was totally ignored, but I had to follow up a few times because I kept wondering where things stood. The refund did come through in the end, or most of it anyway, but it took longer than I was originally told. So yeah, not a total disaster, just more chasing than I hoped for.

I really enjoyed the cooking class and the village visit, those were easily the highlights for me. The guides were friendly and seemed to know a lot about the local culture, which made those parts feel more genuine. Some days did feel a bit rushed, so I think how much you enjoy it might depend on the pace you like when traveling. Overall, a good experience if you’re looking for a taste of local life

"Good food overall, just a couple plain meals"
I was happy with the meals for the most part, especially the local places since those felt more memorable. A couple of the dinners were a little rushed and didnt have much going on, but breakfast was good every day. Overall, I cant really complain and enjoyed the food during the trip.

"Booking ended up being kind of a headache"
I tried to book a tour online, but the site kept timing out right when I got to the payment part, which was frustrating. I ended up calling twice, and both times I got different info about the deposit, so that didn’t exactly help. It did finally go through in the end, but yeah, the whole process felt way messier than it needed to be and took way too long.

"Good trip, buses were mostly smooth"
Overall the transportation was planned well. Buses were clean, usually right on time, and the drivers were friendly too. A couple of the transfers felt a little rushed and one pickup spot was kinda confusing, but it wasn’t a big deal. I’d give it 4 stars, it made getting around easy, just wish the timing info was a bit clearer sometimes

I didn’t feel very safe during the tour. The security seemed careless and it made the whole experience uncomfortable for me.
